1. Data controller
The controller of personal data collected through helixpixel.pt is HelixPixel — Tecnologias de Informação, Lda., tax ID (NIPC) 519 675 355, with registered office in Amadora, Portugal. For any privacy question, contact us at geral@helixpixel.pt.
2. What data we collect
- Contact form: name, email, company (optional), area of interest (optional) and the content of your message.
- Emails you send us: your email address and whatever information you choose to share.
- Technical data: the server hosting the site automatically logs data such as IP address, browser type and the requested page, for security and operational purposes.
- Usage statistics (only with consent): if you accept in the cookie notice, Google Analytics collects data about your visit — pages viewed, traffic source, device and browser type, approximate location.
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking tools.
3. Purposes and legal bases
- Replying to enquiries and preparing proposals — steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in replying to people who contact us (Art. 6(1)(f)).
- Keeping the site secure and working, including protecting the contact form against spam — legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).
- Measuring how the site is used in order to improve it (Google Analytics) — consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you may withdraw at any time.
- Complying with legal obligations, where applicable (Art. 6(1)(c)).
4. Retention
Contact requests are kept for as long as needed to reply and, at most, for two years after the last contact — unless they lead to a contractual relationship, in which case the corresponding legal retention periods apply. Server logs are kept for short periods, for security and diagnostic purposes only.
5. Sharing and processors
We do not sell or hand over personal data to third parties. We only use service providers that process data on our behalf and under our instructions:
- the site's hosting provider;
- Formspark, the service that receives contact-form messages and forwards them to our team by email;
- Cloudflare, Inc. (Turnstile), to protect the contact form against spam and automated abuse. Turnstile analyses technical browser and device signals, without advertising cookies or cross-site tracking;
- Google Ireland Limited (Google Analytics), only with your consent, for usage statistics. Google signals and advertising data sharing are disabled.
Whenever a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, the transfer is covered by appropriate safeguards under the GDPR, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
6. Cookies
We use two kinds of cookies and similar technologies:
- Strictly necessary (no consent needed):
NEXT_LOCALE, to remember your language, and a record of your cookie choice stored in your browser. - Statistics (only with consent): Google Analytics cookies
_gaand_ga_*, valid for up to 13 months.
Google Analytics is not loaded until you accept. You can accept, refuse or withdraw consent at any time under “Cookie settings” in the site footer; withdrawing deletes the statistics cookies. We ask again after 6 months.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you may at any time exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection by writing to geral@helixpixel.pt. We reply within one month at the latest.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Portuguese supervisory authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (www.cnpd.pt).
8. Changes
This policy may be updated. The date of the latest update is shown at the top of this page.
